1. Welcome to the MINUMEROLOCAL Privacy Policy.
In the course of operating this website and providing a service to our customers, we collect certain personally identifiable information from our customers. Because the privacy of our users is of outmost importance to us, we have implemented procedures to safeguard the information provided by our customers. You are not required to provide information on this site unless you wish to use our services.
If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you by email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our web site notifying users of the change, prior to making such changes.
Your use of our services indicates that you have understood and accepted our Policy.
2. Information Collected by the MINUMEROLOCAL's Website
In order to provide services to its customers, MINUMEROLOCAL may collect the following personally identifiable information: name, address, telephone number, fax number (optional), e-mail, credit card number, and social security numbers.
Our site also automatically logs a user's IP address. This information is necessary to set up and maintain individual customer accounts, update users with MINUMEROLOCAL service-only related information, bill credit card companies, issue PINs for customer use, track the use of accounts, allow customers to access their individual account, prevent unauthorized access to individual accounts, ensure security, prepare reports to tax authorities, etc.
Although we collect IP addresses for the purpose of referencing transactions and their origins, we do not tie this information in toward any individual's personal information except in cases where any type of fraudulent activity has occurred directly relating to that IP address' transaction.
The customer information is collected solely for internal purposes. The customer information is not released to third parties, except strictly as needed to complete a transaction on behalf of the customer, such as a credit card company. MINUMEROLOCAL has been assured that any personally identifiable information released in the course of completing transactions will not be retained, shared, stored or used for secondary purposes.
MINUMEROLOCAL does not supplement the information received from our customers with information received from third party sources. MINUMEROLOCAL will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
a) Conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on MINUMEROLOCAL or the site;
b) Protect and defend the rights or property of MINUMEROLOCAL; and,
c) Act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of MINUMEROLOCAL, or the public.
3. Use of Cookies
The MINUMEROLOCAL Web site uses "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time.
The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize MINUMEROLOCAL's pages, or register with MINUMEROLOCAL site or services, a cookie helps MINUMEROLOCAL to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same MINUMEROLOCAL Web site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the MINUMEROLOCAL features that you customized.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the MINUMEROLOCAL services or Web sites you visit.

To do so, the registered MINUMEROLOCAL user must log onto their MINUMEROLOCAL.COM account and select the edit account information function to update personal information. Should you for any reason be unable to access your account or should you be unable to make the changes you wish, please contact us at support@minumerolocal.com.

When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. 5. SMS and WhatsApp Communications
5.1 Channels and purposes
Mi Numero Local (MNL) communicates with customers and resellers via SMS/MMS and WhatsApp messages sent from our official number +1 (305) 500-2400; promotional messages are sent from +1 (844) 500-1549. We use these channels for two types of communication: (a) transactional messages — order confirmations, invoices, verification codes (OTP), and service reminders, necessary to provide the service and sent without requiring separate consent; and (b) marketing and promotional messages, sent only to those who have opted in and which may be cancelled at any time as described below.
5.2 WhatsApp, Meta, and other providers
To send and receive WhatsApp messages we use the WhatsApp Business Platform (WhatsApp Cloud API), operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you contact us via WhatsApp, certain information — including your phone number, WhatsApp profile name, message content, and delivery status — is processed by Meta under the WhatsApp Business Privacy Policy (https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-policy/) and Meta's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies to understand how Meta handles your information.
Additionally, we use Twilio Inc. as our SMS/MMS (and in some cases WhatsApp) messaging provider, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host our servers and databases; both act as data processors on our behalf under our instructions.
5.3 How to opt out
If you no longer wish to receive promotional SMS text messages, you may reply "STOP" or "BAJA" to any of our messages, and we will stop sending marketing communications through that channel; you will continue to receive transactional messages related to your account and orders. To stop receiving WhatsApp messages, reply "BAJA" or "STOP" within the conversation, or contact us at support@minumerolocal.com or 305-500-2400 and we will remove your number from our marketing lists.
5.4 Data categories and retention
In addition to the account information described above, when you contact us via SMS/MMS or WhatsApp we collect and store: your phone number, the content of exchanged messages, your WhatsApp profile name (when available), the delivery status of each message, and any images or documents (media) you send us. We retain conversation content for 24 months from the last message, and media files (images/documents) for 90 days, after which they may be deleted; we may retain information longer where necessary to meet legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. We do not share this information with third parties except as described in this policy.
5.5 Media handling
Images, documents, and other media files you share with us via WhatsApp or MMS are downloaded and stored on our servers so we can assist you and keep a record of your request (for example, payment receipts or order photos). These files are treated with the same confidentiality as the rest of your personal information.
5.6 Data deletion requests
If you wish to request deletion of your personal data, including your message history, you may email us at support@minumerolocal.com or call us at 305-500-2400, providing your account number or the associated phone number. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe, except for information we are required to retain for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
5.7 Our agents' internal access
Our customer service agents have access to SMS and WhatsApp conversations through an internal admin panel, solely to respond to your inquiries and manage your account. All personnel with access are bound by confidentiality obligations.
